As is well known, Yuliya Alagir is an artist working in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional spaces, whose passion for art is evident in every piece she creates. From 1999 to 2015, she focused on the genre of art installations, leading one of her most ambitious projects titled "Altar of Eternity," which became part of her main artistic direction, "Mystery of the Sun." Inspired by world history, semiotics, archaeology, and the symbolism of ancient temples, Yuliya explores profound concepts that underpin the existence of unique "power places." In her quest to recreate fragments of ancient structures, Yuliya creates art installations that interpret the ideas of solar temples and their connection to the cosmos. The arrangements of her installations not only occupy space but also skillfully delineate the intersection of the four cardinal directions and the four elements, demonstrating the synergy of the physical and spiritual within a unified space. The designs of her installations incorporate deep symbolism, enhancing the sacred significance of the locations where they are placed as true power places. The comparison with ancient temples, such as the pyramids of Mexico and Egypt, underscores this approach. These magnificent structures were built in accordance with astronomical phenomena and the seasons, creating a philosophical link between heaven and earth. By engaging with these concepts, Yuliya creates artworks that not only interpret but also actualize ancient knowledge within a contemporary context, opening new horizons for perception. The symbolism of her art structures is multilayered; every detail, whether it be the form, combination of materials, or depicted symbols, carries deep mystical and philosophical meanings. Yuliya Alagir's installations become power places, crossroads of time, and portals that draw viewers behind the veil of the mysteries of the Ancients, filling them with the energy of life. These works spark vibrant interest among contemporary audiences eager to understand the essence of unity and the universe. Art installations seamlessly integrate into exhibitions alongside Yuliya Alagir's other works, becoming a highlight of any event. Whether in group republican exhibitions, festivals, or solo shows, the art installations do not merely complement but fully reveal the conceptual intent of the presented works. This creates a unique experience for viewers, immersing them in the Mystery of the Sun — the Mystery of Ancient Knowledge, and opening new pathways to understanding culture and art.
