After relocating to Canada, Yuliya Alagir’s artistic practice expanded into a new direction focused on the experience of environment and atmosphere. The vast landscapes, changing light, and open spatial horizons of the North introduced a different rhythm of perception, where color, gesture, and material become instruments for conveying the presence of living space.
