On this page, the art works from the "PROTOART" project are presented, stemming from the main art direction "Mystery of the Sun" by Yuliya Alagir. The project began in 1999 and continues to this day. In her paintings, Yuliya interprets the symbol of the Sun, reflecting its light and energy within the context of various ancient cultures and traditions. During the Paleolithic and early Archaic periods, sunlight was not only a source of life but also an object of worship. Ancient people gathered in groups to participate in rituals aimed at appeasing the sun gods. Conditions for human survival varied by region, influencing the manifestation of solar symbolism across different cultures.
