We asked parents of the current students of Alagir Art Academy to answer a few questions:
- What changes have you noticed in your child?
- What made you choose Alagir Art Academy?
- What can you say about Yuliya Alagir's teaching method?
- How do you see Yuliya Alagir?
- What does this first significant event in your child’s life mean to you—participating in a joint exhibition with an international artist, "Embraced by the Mystery of the Sun"?
After three years of studying at Alagir Art Academy, I believe it’s the right time to share my thoughts on my son's development in terms of creativity and character. Over this time, I’ve seen significant changes in him. My son, Rooslamir, has become more confident, not only in his artistic skills but also in his everyday life. He has started to view the world in a different way, paying more attention to details and the process of creation, rather than focusing solely on the end result. His interest in art has deepened; whereas he used to be interested only in drawing with pencils, now he eagerly works with paints, textures, and various materials. He approaches each class as an opportunity to learn something new and exciting, rather than just trying to finish something. |
I’m happy to share my appreciation and talk about how creatively my daughter, Jennifer, has been developing while studying at Alagir Art Academy. As a mom, I’ve noticed how she has become more confident, motivated, and inspired. The lessons at Alagir Art Academy have really helped unlock her creative potential. Jennifer is learning new techniques and developing her creative thinking. She enjoys going to class, thinks deeply, and comes up with ideas for new paintings. In the past, it was hard for her to express her thoughts through art, but now she confidently experiments with different materials and styles. I believe the art lessons at Alagir Art Academy are not just about drawing, but are a true journey into the world of creativity and self-expression, which has inspired her. |
Every Tuesday, despite being tired, my daughter, Nadin, eagerly awaits her studio classes. She has changed not only creatively—becoming bolder in experimenting with colors and exploring new compositional solutions—but also in character. Now, she is no longer afraid to make mistakes because she understands that every flaw is an opportunity to learn something new.
Beyond art, her approach to communication has also evolved: she has learned to express her opinions, support them with arguments, and view situations from different perspectives. This is especially valuable because the ability to analyze and find solutions is important not just in creativity but in life itself.
Our introduction to Yuliya happened unexpectedly—at a picnic. Even then, I was impressed by her energy, unconventional approach to life, and deep knowledge of psychology. I immediately realized that she was a teacher who could help my child think beyond conventional boundaries. The fact that Yuliya is a renowned artist with an international reputation only confirmed that we had made the right choice.
Yuliya doesn’t just provide children with academic knowledge; she teaches them to see the world differently. In her classes, children work with various materials, try out unconventional techniques, and learn to think in images rather than templates. Attention to detail is just as important here as the ability to perceive a painting as a whole.
What is particularly valuable is that the studio fosters a **creative community**, where every child feels significant, can express their opinions freely, and is not afraid to discuss any ideas. Thanks to Yuliya’s deep understanding of psychology, she often helps children navigate issues they might be hesitant to discuss even with their parents.
Yuliya is vibrant, charismatic, and full of endless energy. She has an incredible sense of humor—she can find something amusing in everyday things and present it in a way that makes you see the world differently. She is someone who knows how to inspire and support while remaining direct and honest. Yuliya teaches children to approach life with ease—not to dwell on problems but to see them as new opportunities. She is not just a teacher but a mentor, someone from whom one can learn not only art but also life itself.
This exhibition is the first major milestone in our children’s artistic journey. It is not just an opportunity to showcase their work but an experience that shapes their character. Here, children learn to accept critique, compare their progress with their peers, recognize their strengths, and understand what still needs improvement. For us as parents, this exhibition is a mix of pride, excitement, and joy. It is the moment when our children step onto the stage, make a statement about themselves, and take a step toward their dreams. ~Aina

Since our daughter Masha started studying at Alagir Art Academy, we, as parents, have noticed that she has become much more confident in herself and her abilities. Masha shows greater motivation, especially in self-expression, because, during the learning process, Yuliya Alagir reveals many psychological aspects of mastering artistic skills and techniques. At the Academy, she is in an inspiring environment where her creativity is supported and nurtured. Mistakes are seen as an important stage of development, opening new opportunities for growth. Masha loves learning, and it's clear that this is not just an art class but a deep and multifaceted process. We are very happy with how she is growing and progressing in her artistic skills.
We chose Alagir Art Academy because we trust Yuliya Alagir’s professionalism. Her experience and international recognition in art, as well as her sincere dedication to the craft—where art is not just a profession but her entire life—played a key role in our decision. It is important to us that she is not only an artist and teacher but also an art coach who helps each student move forward. Additionally, we heard many positive reviews from parents whose children had already studied at the Academy, and our personal acquaintance with Yuliya only strengthened our confidence. Her individual approach, professionalism, and genuine care for her students made our choice obvious.
Yuliya Alagir’s teaching method is impressive! Thanks to her knowledge in art coaching, she not only teaches painting but also provides psychological support to teenagers, helping them build confidence and develop a healthy self-esteem. She combines classical and modern approaches in her teaching, allowing students not only to master technique but also to find their own artistic direction. She knows how to motivate, sharing stories about great artists, significant events, and success stories, inspiring students to create. Moreover, she always supports everyone with humor and warmth, fostering an atmosphere of respect and freedom of expression.
Yuliya Alagir is a bright and charismatic personality whose enthusiasm and energy inspire everyone around her. She is easy to recognize among artists—always covered in paint, with shining eyes and countless ideas. She genuinely rejoices in the successes of her students, always supporting and inspiring them. Her sense of humor makes lessons light and enjoyable, while her attentiveness to each student creates an atmosphere of trust.
When the opportunity to participate in the exhibition arose, we hesitated, wondering if Masha would be able to take part. But thanks to Yuliya’s encouragement, who confidently inspired her to try, our daughter gained her first serious experience. For us as parents, this is a very important and exciting event. Exhibiting alongside an internationally recognized artist is a recognition of her talent and a significant step in her creative journey. We are proud of Masha and believe that this experience will inspire her to continue developing in art. We will always support her!

When Ekaterina first joined Alagir Art Academy, she had already experimented with acrylic painting, but her true passion and profound artistic growth emerged when she picked up watercolor. In this technique, she found a greater sense of freedom, expressing her emotions more precisely through color and shades. Under the guidance of Yuliya Alagir, Ekaterina created her first detailed watercolor piece—a still life featuring onions.
The subtle transitions, the transparency of layers, and the play of light inspired her so much that with each new painting, she strives to explore the possibilities of watercolor even further. She is now trying her hand at landscapes, patiently studying the secrets of watercolor painting, experimenting with both dry and soft brushes, and searching for the balance between control and freedom in her brushstrokes. Watercolor has become not only a means of self-expression for her but also a tool for working with emotions. She is learning to convey moods through color, to sense color combinations, and to use them more boldly.
When Ekaterina first joined, she was timid and unsure of her abilities, but with each new artwork, her strokes grow bolder, and her contrasts become more pronounced. Colors help her open up, allowing herself greater expression and freedom. I can see how Ekaterina's time at Alagir Art Academy is transforming her. She is not just mastering techniques but also learning to see and feel art. Yuliya often has conversations with her students—explaining how an artist's brain works, how color influences emotions, and how art helps maintain emotional balance. After all, painting is not just a skill; it is a way to understand oneself and express the world through colors.
My child loves attending the academy—she gains not only new knowledge but also motivation for creativity. She has started painting more, and when she sees her progress, she becomes more confident in her abilities. We came to this studio based on a friend’s recommendation, and after the trial lesson, we immediately decided to continue. This is real learning: hand positioning, brush control, developing an individual style—not just copying. Yuliya is a teacher who does not impose her own vision but helps students unlock their potential. She guides rather than forces.
For both me and my daughter, participating in the exhibition is an important step. These are not just paintings; they are an entire world of imagination and self-expression that she can share with other talented people.

My daughter, Elita, has been attending Alagir Art Academy for almost two years now, and each class is not just a lesson for her—it’s a true source of inspiration. She always goes to her sessions with enthusiasm and a great mood because Yuliya Alagir’s academy is not just a place where children learn to draw. It’s a creative space where a child’s artistic potential is fully revealed, where they can see their talent from different perspectives by exploring various techniques. |
Karina has loved drawing since childhood – as soon as she learned to hold a pencil, it was clear she had a real potential. From her earliest years, we sought out the right teachers for her and tried different classes. But by the time she was six, it became obvious that she needed something more – deeper knowledge and a true artistic environment. |
Katerina was one of the first students to join ALAGIR Art Academy over five years ago. Yuliya awakened her natural curiosity and nurtured her creativity by providing a space for artistic expression. Under Yuliya’s guidance, Katerina has explored various art techniques, including watercolor, gypsum plasterboard, mixed media, and acrylic painting.
Since joining ALAGIR Art Academy, I have seen remarkable growth in Katerina’s creative thinking and emotional intelligence. As a mother and a perfectionist myself, I am deeply aware of how the constant pursuit of perfection can sometimes discourage a teenager. Through her art lessons, my daughter has learned to appreciate the value of hard work and to stay motivated despite setbacks. Yuliya’s calm and encouraging approach helps her students navigate challenges, guiding them back to a positive mindset and inspiring them to persevere. Yuliya motivates her students to focus on progress rather than perfection, encouraging them to explore new artistic methods—there is never a dull moment in the studio! Katerina’s participation in the upcoming exhibition with such a highly respected artist is a significant milestone for her artistic journey. I believe this event will open new doors for her growth and development. What sets ALAGIR Art Academy apart is its individualized approach. Each student works on their own projects, with ideas generated by the child rather than imposed by the teacher. Yuliya supports and guides her students in their creative pursuits, carefully finding a personal approach for each one. Her unique insight and compassionate teaching style create an environment where students feel valued and inspired. Perhaps this is why Katerina enjoys her classes so much, no matter how she feels that day. I am incredibly grateful for this studio and feel lucky to have been among its first students. Katerina once told Yuliya, "I wish I could enter your mind and learn everything inside." To me, this speaks volumes about how much her curiosity has grown and how inspired she feels at ALAGIR Art Academy. In summary, we highly recommend ALAGIR Art Academy as a place where children can learn, grow, and develop their artistic potential in a supportive and inspiring environment. ~Maria K |
My daughter Milena has become much more confident and bold in her creativity. Now, she sees art not just as a hobby but as an important part of her life—perhaps even her future. I can see how motivated and determined she is when she works, how carefully she pays attention to details, and how deeply she immerses herself in the creative process. But most importantly, she wants to keep going, try new things, and grow! This is incredibly valuable, and we are so happy to have found a place like Alagir Art Academy for her.
In her lessons, Yuliya Alagir helps Milena develop her skills in acrylic painting and decorative mixed-media techniques. My daughter loves to travel and expresses her love for family through painting. She has already created a series of artworks with a marine theme—ocean, tropics, waves. Landscapes, in particular, inspire her the most and feel closest to her heart. One of the most touching projects for us was a mini modular mural Milena created for her father under Yuliya Alagir’s guidance. She wanted to inspire him and remind him how important it is to find time for things that truly bring joy. It was her personal message, and I believe that moments like these make art truly alive and meaningful. We chose Alagir Art Academy because we see how Yuliya Alagir helps children not only master techniques but also understand how their talent can become part of their future. These are not just painting lessons—they are a whole journey. Yuliya explains to the children (and to us, parents!) how important it is to build a portfolio, participate in exhibitions and competitions, and recognize the value of artistic achievements. She gives children the confidence that their creativity is something meaningful. And it truly is! For Milena, taking part in the upcoming exhibition will be a huge step forward. She will see that her work can be noticed and that her efforts matter. We are so proud of her and grateful to Alagir Art Academy for the support and inspiration! ~Ludmila |
My daughter Anastasia’s classes at Alagir Art Academy have become a very important part of her life. The teenage years can be tough—it’s not always easy to understand yourself or express your feelings in words. Painting has helped her share her emotions, understand herself better, and learn new skills. Every artwork she creates—whether it’s an abstract piece, a portrait, or a landscape—shows her inner world. Through art, she is learning to accept and process her feelings. We have seen her grow more confident with each lesson. She notices how her skills improve, and people around her support and encourage her. This makes her excited to try new things, develop her own style, and look for creative ideas. Art has also become a way for her to relax, deal with stress, and find inspiration.
We chose Alagir Art Academy after learning about Yuliya Alagir. Her experience and reputation in the art world were important to us. But what mattered even more was that the academy helps each student grow in their own way. It’s not just about learning techniques—it’s about helping children find their own style and believe in themselves.
What we love about Yuliya is her special way of looking at art. Her paintings bring out strong emotions and make you think or feel something personal. She uses unique colors, materials, and textures to create mood. This inspires her students—not just to copy what they see, but to express their own thoughts and feelings through art. There are no strict rules in her lessons. Every student follows their own path, and Yuliya supports and guides them.
Anastasia tries different techniques, like watercolor, acrylic, textured painting, and mixed media. The academy combines traditional teaching with modern methods. One thing she especially enjoys is making Christmas decorations before the New Year. She always brings home her handmade decorations, filling our house with holiday spirit. Through this, she shows love and care, and we are happy to see her sharing her creativity with us.
Taking part in an art exhibition will be a big moment for her. She is very excited to present her work, and it will be important for her to see what she has achieved. She will also receive feedback not only from family but from experts and other artists. Thanks to Yuliya’s support, she is learning to share her inner world through her art and enjoy the creative process. Of course, winning awards and getting recognition at exhibitions can be a big motivation to keep improving. We are very grateful for the wonderful opportunities Alagir Art Academy is giving Anastasia. We hope that being part of this project will not only be a great experience for her but also inspire her to reach new heights.
