About Yuliya Alagir
Yuliya Alagir is an internationally recognized artist known for her unique artistic direction, Mystery of the Sun, which explores conceptual symbolism through allegorical themes since 1999. Her works have been exhibited in prestigious galleries and museums in Uzbekistan, the USA, Canada, Italy, Australia, and beyond.
Alagir is a member of the Creative Union of Artists under the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, the Federation of Canadian Artists, and the Canadian Watercolour Society. Her art has been included in permanent collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Uzbekistan and the National Art Collection/Archives of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. Her philosophy revolves around the idea that art is a bridge between generations, preserving cultural heritage while inspiring new creative explorations.
Understanding the challenges of establishing oneself in the art world, Yuliya strives to support and nurture young artists in their artistic development. With a passion for education and mentorship, she founded the Alagir Art Academy to guide emerging talents, helping them grow, refine their artistic voices, and navigate the complexities of the art industry.
About the Exhibition
Internationally recognized artist Yuliya Alagir invites you to become part of a modern art exhibition, "Embraced by Mystery of the Sun". This will be the first group exhibition in Canada that will showcase both her acclaimed conceptual symbolism series and the emerging voices of her students from the Alagir Art Academy.
The exhibition will serve as a dialogue, a manifesto of continuity, where art will connect generations by passing on the traditions. This exhibition will act as a platform for unity, where art will serve as a key to understanding and harmony, reminding us that, despite our differences, We all live under the same Sun. The Sun, a universal symbol throughout history, will reflect the collective aspirations of generations toward light, goodness, and prosperity.
The exhibition will showcase the works of 15 emerging artists from the Alagir Art Academy, who will participate in an Art Competition. Their creations will form a unique artistic language, reinterpreting the eternal values of the Sun through the eyes of a new generation.
